PRE-REGISTRATION NOTICE: The Wick, Inc. is not currently registered as an investment adviser with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission or any state securities authority. This waitlist is operated in anticipation of a planned registration. Nothing in this Privacy Policy, on our website, or in our SMS communications constitutes investment advice or an offer of advisory services. No advisory relationship exists between The Wick, Inc. and waitlist participants.

1. Who We Are

The Wick, Inc. (“Wick,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Delaware corporation currently operating a waitlist at thewick.com in anticipation of launching an investment advisory platform. We are not currently registered as an investment adviser. This Privacy Policy governs the information we collect from individuals who join our waitlist and receive SMS communications from us.

2. Information We Collect

When you join the Wick waitlist, we collect:

  • Mobile phone number — provided by you during signup
  • Verification data — the one-time passcode (OTP) used to confirm your number; this data is deleted immediately after successful verification
  • Waitlist position and referral data — if you participate in our referral program
  • Device and usage data — browser type, IP address, and interaction timestamps collected automatically when you visit thewick.com

We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account information, investment history, or any other sensitive financial data through the waitlist. If and when we launch advisory services, a separate privacy notice governing those services will be provided at that time.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your phone number and related data solely for the following purposes:

  • To verify your identity via SMS one-time passcode (OTP)
  • To confirm and maintain your place on the Wick waitlist
  • To send you transactional SMS messages: waitlist status updates, launch notifications, and access invitations
  • To process referrals and calculate waitlist position adjustments
  • To improve our product, detect fraud, and maintain platform security

We do not use your phone number or any waitlist data to provide investment advice, make investment recommendations, or deliver any regulated financial service. No advisory relationship is created by joining the waitlist.

4. SMS Communications

By submitting your phone number and completing verification, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from The Wick, Inc. at the number provided, using an automatic telephone dialing system. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or future access to Wick’s platform. Message frequency will vary. Standard message and data rates may apply.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

  • To opt out: Reply STOP to any Wick SMS. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages.
  • To re-subscribe: Text START to the same number.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your phone number or personal information. We may share your data with:

  • SMS delivery providers — for message transmission only
  • Analytics and infrastructure providers — for platform operation
  • Law enforcement or regulators — if required by applicable law

All third-party service providers are contractually bound to use your data solely to provide services to Wick and are prohibited from using it for any independent purpose.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No system is completely secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your data, contact us immediately at support@thewick.com.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information as follows:

  • OTP verification codes: deleted immediately after successful verification
  • Mobile phone number and waitlist data: retained for the duration of the waitlist period and for up to 12 months following the launch of the Wick platform or the closure of the waitlist, whichever is earlier, unless a longer retention period is required by law
  • Device and usage data: retained for up to 24 months for fraud prevention and security purposes

You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@thewick.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.

8. Your Privacy Rights

8.1 General Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time (which does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing)

8.2 California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • The right to know what personal information we collect, use, share, or sell
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information
  • The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information — We do not sell personal information
  • The right not to be discriminated against for exercising your CCPA rights

9. Children’s Privacy

Wick is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. Our planned investment advisory services are intended for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us immediately at support@thewick.com and we will delete that information promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days’ notice via SMS or by posting the updated policy at thewick.com before the changes take effect. If you do not accept the changes, you may opt out by replying STOP to any message or emailing support@thewick.com. Your continued participation in the waitlist after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
